Ministerial Sector Technical Committees Hold First Meeting of 2026

The technical committees of the ministerial sectors held their first joint meeting on Thursday, chaired by Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Ambassador Ali Mohamed Ali.
The meeting discussed the 2026 plan of the “Government of Hope,” whose strategic objectives include revitalizing productive sectors, diversifying and developing sources of revenue and national capacities, and directing public expenditure toward achieving economic recovery and comprehensive, sustainable development. The plan also underscores preserving national unity and security and consolidating the foundations of good governance.
The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers explained that the Government of Hope’s plan further aims to establish a unified national strategic policy for digital transformation, digital identity, cybersecurity, and the implementation of governance systems. He added that the plan focuses on building a self-sufficient and culturally cohesive society to strengthen social development, as well as enhancing institutional capacity to improve performance and deliver distinguished public services.
The plan also highlights the necessity of protecting the environment and natural resources and addressing the impacts of climate change.
The joint meeting of the technical committees recommended submitting the plan to the Council of Ministers for approval, stressing the importance of prioritizing ministerial projects in line with citizens’ livelihoods and the provision of essential and basic services.
