Prime Minister Affirms Sudan’s Commitment to Expanding Cooperation with China

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris affirmed Sudan’s keenness to broaden avenues of cooperation with China in ways that serve the interests of both countries and their peoples. He expressed his gratitude to the Government of China and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for their support of development projects in Sudan. The statement came during his meeting on Wednesday in Northern State with the Acting Chinese Ambassador to Sudan and an FAO representative.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Sudan and China in agriculture, livestock, digital transformation, technology, and other sectors. The meeting also addressed the sustainable fisheries development project in Northern State, funded by China and implemented by FAO in collaboration with the State Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries.
The meeting reaffirmed the continuation of Sudan-China partnerships. For his pa rt, the Acting Chinese Ambassador emphasized that his visit to Northern State reflects the constructive cooperation between Sudan and China, confirming his country’s readiness to fund additional development projects in Sudan.
