Foreign Minister Discusses Cooperation and Support for Stability in Sudan with Dutch Counterpart

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Mohieddin Salem discussed with Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Sjoerd Sjoerdsma developments in Sudan and efforts to achieve stability, as well as ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two countries on issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, held on Monday evening on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Foreign Minister gave his Dutch counterpart a comprehensive briefing on developments in Sudan and ongoing efforts to achieve stability.
The Dutch minister affirmed his country's commitment to supporting security and stability in Sudan, stressing the importance of continuing diplomatic and humanitarian efforts aimed at supporting the Sudanese people and alleviating their humanitarian suffering.
The two sides agreed to maintain diplomatic communication and coordination during the coming period in a manner that contributes to strengthening bilateral relations and supporting issues of mutual interest in international forums.
