Foreign Minister Meets President of 81st UN General Assembly

As part of his meetings with UN officials during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salem met with Dr. Khalilur Rahman, President of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The meeting discussed developments in Sudan, the Sudanese Government’s initiative to achieve peace and reconstruction, as well as the Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue and the guarantees provided to participants.
For his part, the President of the General Assembly expressed his thanks to the Government of Sudan for supporting his candidacy, affirming that the United Nations would continue to support the Sudanese Government’s efforts to achieve peace, stability, and reconstruction.
