Initial estimates of vandalism RSF militia caused in transport sector amount to 2.7 billion

Minister of Transport, Eng. Abu Bakr Abu Al-Gasim, has announced that initial estimates of the extent of the vandalization caused by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia's violations in the transport sector amounted to $2.7 billion, including damage to infrastructure, facilities, and transport vessels for the ministry's various units, sections, and companies. This came during a briefing conference of the Ministry of Culture and Information, organized by the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), held Sunday in the General Intelligence Service hall in Portsudan, to discuss the militia's violations of the transport sector and the ministry's plans and programs for post-war reconstruction.
The Minister of Transport emphasized the ministry's commitment to integrating maritime, river, land, air, and railway transport chains to build efficient transportation systems that support Sudan's unity and renaissance. He explained that the priority is the return of the diaspora and the creation of a suitable environment for the return of Sudanese from asylum, displacement, shelters, and camps. Engineer Abu Al-Gasim asserted the need for gradual construction and reconstruction based on a comprehensive vision and approach. The Minister pledged promising future achievements that will bring joy to the Sudanese people.

The Sudan Electricity Company's Media Coordination Council announced that Merowe power station was targeted by drones at dawn on Saturday, April 5, 2025. The council explained, in a statement, that the attack damaged the transformer supplying the Northern State, causing a power outage. The statement indicated that this repeated targeting of power stations negatively impacts citizens' services, in addition to the direct impact on the Northern State. It added, "This incident is expected to lead to disruptions in the electricity grid, which could negatively impact electricity supplies in several states."
The Media Coordination Council confirmed that an integrated technical team is on site to assess the damage, work to repair it, and restore power to the affected areas as soon as possible. More details will be provided to the public later.

TSC President Meets German Envoy to the Horn of Africa

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, met on Thursday with the German Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa, Mr. Heiko Ntschka. The meeting discussed developments in the country and various political issues.
The meeting also addressed the efforts made by the Sudanese government to achieve peace and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need, along with ongoing efforts to conduct a comprehensive dialogue among Sudanese and form a technocratic government to prepare the country for elections, as part of the roadmap recently announced by the government. President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council affirmed that the armed forces are working to create favorable conditions for an elected civilian government to assume power in the country, emphasizing the armed forces' unwillingness to engage in political activity. Meanwhile, the German Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa indicated that his country is ready to support reconstruction efforts in Sudan and contribute, with international partners, to post-war reconstruction and rehabilitation.

TSC President Makes Phone Call to President of South Sudan

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, made a phone call on Thursday to the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit. During the call, Al-Burhan inquired about the situation in South Sudan in light of the recent events in Al-Nassir City, wishing the people of South Sudan continued security and stability. Al-Burhan affirmed that the government and people of Sudan stand with South Sudan to achieve peace and stability for the brotherly people of South Sudan, noting the solid relations between the two countries, which reflect the common destiny of the two brotherly peoples.
TSC President briefed President Salva Kiir on developments in Sudan, especially after the recent victories achieved by the armed forces on various fronts of the Battle of Dignity.

Foreign Minister Sudan to Participate in Important Conferences Next April

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ali Youssef confirmed Sudan's participation in a number of important foreign conferences and meetings next April.
The Minister indicated, in a statement to SUNA, that the important economic conference, which will be held in Antalya, Turkey, next April with the participation of heads of state and foreign ministers, will be attended by President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council.(TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan.
The Foreign Minister added that the conference sessions will include the participation of the Sudanese Foreign Minister as a keynote speaker in a symposium on humanitarian aid in conflict zones, highlighting the importance of the meeting and meetings with officials from other countries. He pointed out that Sudan will also participate in several other activities next April, including meetings of more than 40 European, African, and Arab countries to discuss migration issues and other issues of concern to these countries. The meeting will be held on April 9. He explained that the first meeting of the group was held in Khartoum, which is why the meetings are called the Khartoum Process.
The Foreign Minister said this is the first time in more than three years that Sudan has participated, due to the events taking place in Sudan. Ambassador Youssef added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' activities include participating in a meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers, which will be held on April 10. He described the meeting as important and that it will issue a decision regarding Sudan, pointing to its regular and supportive decision for Sudan.

Government reviews urgent reconstruction priorities with Saudi committee

Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim has reviewed the government's urgent reconstruction priorities for what was vandalized by the war. Chairing an expanded meeting with the Saudi Arabian committee, headed by its ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, the minister identified the most important priority sectors for initiating the reconstruction, development, and rehabilitation process to ensure the safe return of citizens to their homes in the war-affected states.
The priorities were reviewed with the participation of relevant ministers, focusing on the electricity, health services, water, agricultural inputs, and all projects that directly impact citizens. Saudi Ambassador to Sudan stated that the Saudi committee was formed under the direction of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince to address the basic needs of Sudanese citizens over the next six months and support the government's efforts to address the consequences of the war.
The Saudi ambassador pledged to study the proposed projects and submit a report on them to the Saudi leadership in preparation for implementation.

Germany affirms its readiness to participate in post war reconstruction

Germany has affirmed its readiness to participate in the reconstruction and rebuilding of what was destroyed by the war.
During his meeting at the ministry on Thursday with the German Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Mr. Heiko Ntschka, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim, discussed the requirements for achieving peace, reconstruction, and development. The meeting addressed related issues and ways to develop them.

Al Burhan conducts an inspection tour of various parts of Khartoum State following its liberation

Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, today undertook a presidential plane inspection tour of various parts of Khartoum State following its liberation from the Daglo terrorist militias and criminals.
The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces was assured of the general situation on the ground in the state, which is free of terrorist militias. He also monitored the progress of plans to comprehensively secure the liberated areas against any threat from pockets of rebel militia.
The tour was a testament to the bravery of the Armed Forces fighters and support forces, the great sacrifices they made and the efforts they made throughout the war, which culminated in the great victory and liberation of the national capital, Khartoum.

Al Burhan Nuba are trustworthy and backbone of national struggle

Portsudan, March 23, 2025 (SUNA) - President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, affirmed that the Nuba are the backbone of the national struggle, pointing to their valuable contributions to the military and security institutions and their significant role in national development.
During a meeting on Sunday with a delegation of the Nuba Civil Society, Native, and Political Leaderships, headed by Lt. Gen. Daniel Kodi, Al-Burhan said that the Nuba are trustworthy and have a true sense of belonging and loyalty to Sudan. He pledged to fulfill all the demands presented by the delegation for the development and stability of the citizens of South Kordofan.
The Delegation's Spokesperson, Dr. Ali Moamen said, in a press statement, that the meeting came within the framework of the Nuba leaderships' and people's support for the Battle of Dignity, affirming their strong and steadfast support for the armed forces to protect the homeland and vanquish the brutal rebel militia. He explained that the meeting addressed the situation in South Kordofan State, particularly the security situation, pointing to the necessity of opening the Al Obeid-Delling-Kadogli road via the Sayyad Mobile Forces, noting the importance of this road for the people of South Kordofan, particularly that the agricultural season is just around the corner.
Dr. Ali Moamen said that the meeting also touched on the importance of arming the popular resistance in South Kordofan to confront the alliance between the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), led by the rebel Abdelaziz al-Hilu, and the terrorist of al-Dagalo militia. He stressed that this alliance is not acceptable to the citizens of South Kordofan, considering it an alliance against human values and casting doubt on the SPLM's claims that it is fighting for the margins. He added that the meeting also touched on the need to support the Nuba Mountains Agricultural Corporation, as it is a national and patriotic production institution that has a significant impact on the development and stability process for the citizens of South Kordofan. He said that the delegation also discussed the issue of the return of the displaced people who were deported from the town of Lagawa to Kadugli and Dilling due to rebel attacks, and working to provide aid and support to them.

Foreign Minister receives Türkiye and Indonesia ambassadors

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef, has received in his office on Sunday, the ambassadors of the Republic of Turkey to Sudan, Al -Fatih Yildiz, and the Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Sonarko, where the joint meeting discussed a number of issues listed on the agenda of the up coming Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), hosted by Türkiye during June 21 - 22, 2025.
During the meeting, it was agreed on the importance of tightening coordination and unifying visions towards the issues that the summit will discuss, in order to enhance the joint Islamic action.
The Minister also expressed Sudan's thanks to the two sister states for their efforts in preparing for the summit activities, stressing Sudan's keenness to support the OIC efforts to unify the word of the Islamic nation and enhance solidarity between member states to face the current and future challenges.
Meanwhile, the minister extended briefings on the developments of the situation in Sudan, stressing that the military operations are nearing the end of the rebellion, due to Allah Almighty help and then the valor of the Sudanese armed forces and the forces supporting them, and the Sudanese people standing behind their national leadership. He also reviewed the steps taken by the regular forces to purify the capital, Khartoum, from the desecration of the rebel militia and the restoration of sovereign sites and service and diplomatic facilities, which are being secured until diplomatic missions return to carry out their duties as soon as the clearance operations are completed. In the same context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs briefed the ambassadors on the state's efforts to reconstruction and restore life to normal in various sectors, pointing to government plans aimed at addressing the effects of war and accelerating development operations, reflecting Sudan's commitment to restore stability and advancement of the country.
