Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris reaffirmed the Government of Hope's support for the Charter of Reconciliation and Peaceful Coexistence among the communities of Sennar State, pledging comprehensive and sustainable development and the delivery of public services so that the initiative may serve as a model for the rest of Sudan.
Addressing the signing ceremony of the charter at Al-Salam Rotana Hotel in Khartoum on Saturday, the Prime Minister described the document as historic and significant, saying it sends a message to all Sudanese that the state is pressing ahead with its National Healing Project. He added that the charter embodies a noble vision and a profound message that Sudan will stand among the leading nations, "whether others accept it or not."
Dr. Idris further affirmed that the Sudanese Armed Forces and allied forces remain firmly in control of the battlefield, noting that the Greater Kordofan and Greater Darfur regions are on the verge of full liberation. He congratulated the Sudanese Armed Forces, the Police Forces, the General Intelligence Service, the Joint Forces, and all supporting forces on their continued victories.
The Prime Minister also conveyed the greetings and congratulations of the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) on the signing of the charter, renewing his government's unwavering support for the initiative and calling on the Sudanese people to return to their shared values and traditions in order to mend the country's social fabric.
